We asked a thousand women from all walks of life and from all across Ontario what they expect from a new hospital. They told us what they liked and what they didn’t like when it comes to hospitals, to care and to services. They shared their stories and experiences, their fears and concerns, their hopes and dreams and their vision for the hospital of the future. Now we’re building it!

This research report is a distillation of the voices of 1,000 women. Women from almost 60 communities were asked what they want from their healthcare experience. We spoke with women whose voices might not have been heard before and they told us what is most important to them. They used words such as dignity and respect, and they asked for privacy, safety and a holistic approach to care.
